Seed Packing

Every seed packet that is available to check out has been labeled, packed, and counted. It takes many hands to pack all of the seeds you see. We would greatly appreciate any help in packing seeds. We would love to host a "seed packing party," where a group of friends, coworkers, or an organization gathers together for a few hours (or as long as you're able) to pack seeds.
Thank you for DOnating Your Time to our Seed Library!

Our office hosts at least two seed packing parties per month, usually on the first Thursday and third Wednesday of each month.

Our next seed packing parties are scheduled for

Thursday, November 7th

Wednesday, November 20th

Thursday, December 5th

Wednesday, December 18th.

To participate in a seed packing party, simply come by our office (1521 Pearman Dairy Rd.) between 9 AM and 11:30 AM on these days. Ann Marie has seed packing kits set up in our conference room and will guide you through the process.

Our seed packing parties are drop-in style, so you are welcome to come when you are able and to stay as long as you'd like.

For more information or to join our seed packing email list, please contact Ann Marie at annmarie.pauley@andersonswcd.org.

Hosting a seed packing party means that you and/or your group/organization choose a date, time, and place for a seed packing party, and we will provide all the seed packing supplies to you.

To host a seed packing party or for related any questions, please contact Ann Marie at annmarie.pauley@andersonswcd.org.

We have three seed packing parties planned in Spring 2025 that will be hosted by the Powdersville Library Branch. These seed packing parties will be between 4 PM and 6 PM on Tuesdays, January 21st, January 28th, and February 18th.

The most common way that our seed packing volunteers help with seed packing is through taking home a seed packing kit.

To take home a seed packing kit, come by our office (1521 Pearman Dairy Rd) between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Mondays through Fridays, and we will provide you with a kit.

If you are unfamiliar with packing seeds, we can give you some quick instructions, but instructions and contact information are included in seed packing kits.

Depending on your circumstances and how many seed packets you take to pack from home, we ask that you return them within one week. If you are unable to return them within a week, please let Ann Marie know.

For any questions about seed packing take home kits, please contact Ann Marie at annmarie.pauley@andersonswcd.org.
