Seed Library Programs

Throughout the year, we partner with the Anderson Library System to hold several educational programs about the Seed Library and related topics. These programs are FREE to you. We do ask that you register for these programs through the Anderson Library System here.

For more information relating to Seed Library programs and/or future program topics, please contact Ann Marie Pauley at annmarie.pauley@andersonswcd.org.

Join ASWCD for "Native Tea Making" at the Anderson Main Library on Thursday, August 21st, at 5:30pm - 6:30pm. We will walk through several tips on foraging, preserving, and steeping tea using native and naturalized plants you can find in the Upstate. We will specifically focus on the yaupon holly (Ilex vomitoria) plant, and its interesting history. We will finish by tasting some yaupon holly tea.

Register for this FREE program at https://www.andersonlibrary.org/event/draft-native-tea-51333

Disclaimer: Some herbal teas can interfere with medications including blood thinners, antidepressants, birth control, anticoagulants, diuretics, and/or medications for bipolarism or diabetes. People with allergies to hollies, roses, pines, or any closely-related plants may have an allergic reaction to tea made from these plants. Herbal teas may be harmful to women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you fall into one of these categories, you may want to check with your doctor before consuming herbal teas.

We would love to provide FREE programs on information that you want to learn!
